Welcome to Academic Federal Credit Union!

Anybody employed in the field of education (elementary schools, secondary schools, or post-secondary schools) within the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Westchester County, and Rockland County are eligible to open an account with us!

Spouses of person who died while within the field of membership, persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment, volunteers, and members of their immediate family (spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild, stepsibling and adoptive relationships) or household, and organizations of such person are eligible to join as well.

ONCE A MEMBER, ALWAYS A MEMBER! Membership privileges last a lifetime, even when circumstances change, such as employment or retirement.

All you need to do is have a $20.00 balance in your primary share account and make at least one transaction per year to remain a member in good standing!
